Jewellery Care Tips

Below are our tips on how to care for your jewellery to enjoy it longer!

  1. Little Spark jewellery is made to be secure enough for daily wear, however, it should be handled gently. Please take care not to drop it or bang against hard surfaces.
  2. Avoid getting the jewellery wet, e.g. in the pool, in the shower, exercising at the gym, etc. If it gets wet by accident, wipe it gently with a soft dry cloth. Make sure not to tug or pull it.
  3. Avoid spraying perfume, putting body lotions, sunscreen or other beauty products on the jewellery as it may contain harsh chemicals, which can damage your jewellery.
Instead, we recommend you put on the jewellery once all your beauty products are applied and fully dried on your skin.
  4. Avoid leaving the jewellery in direct sunlight for extended periods of time as this may result in discolouration.
  5. Despite the anti-tarnishing treatment, metal components can dull and/or tarnish over time. If you notice tarnishing please use the polishing cloth provided with the jewellery to give it a new shine.
  6. Silicone backings are provided with all of our earrings. We recommend you use them for safety, so as to not lose an earring accidentally.
  7. We recommend that the jewellery is stored separately from other accessories. Bracelets and necklaces can be stored in the fabric pouches provided.
  8. The thread used in the fringe of the beaded earrings has memory. This means it can retain the shape it has been stored in for a prolonged period of time. For this reason, we recommend that you store your beaded earrings either by hanging them or laying them flat, e.g. in the box they came in.
  9. Although this should be avoided, do not worry if the fringe becomes misshapen due to incorrect storage as you can still condition it back into shape! Just lay the earrings flat and gently straigthen the fringe, making sure that each strand lays as close to the neighbouring strands as possible. Leave your earrings in this position for several days, occasionally checking the alignment and trying to get the fringe lay closer together if it fully possible from the beginning.
